Saif Ali Khan Reveals Having Fake Insta Account; Explains Why He Deleted It And The Reason He Calls Wife Kareena Kapoor Khan ‘Mrs Gram’
During his virtual appearance on Neha Dhupia’s chat show #NoFilterNeha5, Saif Ali Khan revealed he was once on Instagram but soon stepped down due to the toxicity it follows. Labels wife Kareena Kapoor Khan Mrs. Gram!
Neha Dhupia is back with yet another season of her much-celebrated chat show #NoFilterNeha5. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, the new season comes with no surprises. Following the ‘Work From Home’ routine, Dhupia recorded her episodes at home. To kick-start the 5th edition of the chat show, Dhupia got 2nd-time daddy-to-be Saif Ali Khan. Days before ringing in his 50th birthday with family and friends, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan announced the arrival of their 2nd bundle of joy. Well, during his long chit-chat with Dhupia, Saif Ali Khan happened to speak about his social media presence too. While he hates the platform for the toxicity it follows, he, on the loving hand, labels Bebo as Mrs. Gram!
During his recent virtual appearance on the chat show, Saif revealed why he isn’t on social media and calls his wife totally opposite. Labelling Kareena Kapoor Khan as Mrs Gram, the actor told her, “Just because I’m not on social media doesn’t mean I don’t know what it is, for God’s sake. I actually was on it (Instagram) and I deleted it because I was finding it, again, I was getting irritated by toxic remarks and it’s taking too much of time and it's making me frown and I don’t want to get annoyed so literally, Ignorance is bliss. It’s like why would you want to listen to all that. My wife, on the other hand, I think she’s Miss Instagram, Mrs. Gram!”
Saif Ali Khan also revealed he was once on Instagram with a fake account. He revealed to Neha, “When I had my fake account, I called it Shakun Kothari.” For the unversed, Shakun Kothari is Saif’s on-screen name in Baazaar opposite Radhika Apte.
Dad-to-be also gave his stance on the negativity and trolling on social media. He told Dhupia, “Part of the evolution of the world is where things that you take for granted, which are wrong, get addressed. Whether it’s some kind of a, like not an obvious #MeToo kind of thing or even kind of sexual harassment at work or something, that may be in the '60s was considered normal is now not acceptable. So, there is a constant evolving of morality and acceptance of behaviour. So, maybe in about 10-20 years, people would say, oh trolling! Can you imagine there used to be trolling in those days where people would say whatever they want about people, maybe there will be cyber police where if you said a certain language or a thing and someone would knock on your door.” (ALSO READ: Preggers Kareena Kapoor Khan Shares BTS From Her Make-Up Room Calling Her Team 'Warriors'; Oh, She's A Flawless Beauty)
